Utilizing a $2.5 million, 40 mile, fiber optic network connecting 49 sites.

The new fiber optic network will provide new opportunities for INFOCIS partners at significant cost savings over previously used technologies. In addition to data and telephone services the network has the potential for distance learning:

• Homebound students can be brought right into the classroom via a computer.
• Firefighters will be able to take a class from Fox Valley Technical College but remain at their fire stations.
